Wow - I can't believe I haven't posted in over a year! It's been quite a year, but that's not what this is about. I had such a good week at Kroger that when my hubby & best friend said "you ought to blog about this" I thought, "Yes, I should!"
First of all, Monday my best friend and I just ran in Kroger because I needed to grab a ham for my mother. Our umm.... "quick" runWendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-40443553010047913272011-11-15T09:55:00.000-06:002011-11-15T09:55:27.201-06:00Kroger Cereal Clearance - 11/14Wow! I've been on such a break, but am trying to dive back into serious couponing. I've been trying to eat a lot of stuff from our stockpile and it's been nice. However, the stockpile has seriously dwindled - really low on (or out of) lots of items. So it's time! I spend yesterday grocery shopping LOL I don't have time right now for the full breakdown, but the best deal of the day had to be Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-43857767968405015272011-08-26T22:29:00.001-05:002011-08-26T22:40:37.156-05:00Weekly Shopping Wrap-upRan into Walgreens Tuesday afternoon and took advantage of the glitch on the Dove RR. Did two identical transactions of 3 single Dove soap bars, on sale for 99¢ with in-ad coupon. Each transaction was $3.15 after tax and produced a $6 RR. Tried it again on Wednesday morning, but no RR printed. I'm very glad I was able to get in on it.

My mother asked if anyone had Cokes on sale because she was almost out of Vanilla Cokes. No one did, but I had a rain check to get Coke 12-packs 5/$13 at CVS so I hit the store most likely to have that many Vanilla Cokes. Somewhere along the way I realized that I needed foundation, and since I'm brand-loyal and CVS had L'oreal on sale, I decided to Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-41648165650782943042011-08-20T09:34:00.000-05:002011-08-20T09:34:25.169-05:00CVS - Paper Towel Stock-up 2011There really wasn't a whole lot I wanted from CVS this week; however, we were running low on paper towels and since we like the Scott paper towels, I decided to use some ECB and replenish the stockpile. So here's what I got:
(6) 6-roll packages Scott paper towels, $5.00 each
-$5 off $25 CVS email coupon
-(4) $1.00 coupons, 8/14 SS (I think is was SS, but it could have been RP. I was able to run in Kroger on Tuesday morning and got a beef roast and a pork roast out of the Manager's Specials. I was pretty happy about that because I've been wanting roast but wouldn't buy it because the sales hadn't been really good lately.

I think most extreme couponers are doing what I used to do (and am working towards doing again). I used to like to be called an extreme couponer; however, since the show came out it has taken on such a negative connotation with so many people that I'm not sure it's how I want to be perceived. Lysol Clean-Flip Sweeper Starter Kits (Swiffer type thing LOL) were $2.00 and the dry cloth refill 16 ct boxes were $1.00. Since I've been wanting to replace my slightly beaten-up Swiffer, I was very pleased. They had 3 of the Clean-Flip starter sets so I made a couple of calls and discovered that Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-56470790837080968272011-07-30T09:15:00.002-05:002011-07-30T09:42:11.135-05:00Kroger - Making Money on Crest!I realize I've been out of the loop for awhile, but I got a nice surprise when I checked out at Kroger Thursday. I stopped by Thursday and did 3 transactions, for a total of $13.98. I started with $6 RR and ended with none. However, I did run back in tonight and grab 3 boxes of Splenda with Fiber, used (3) $3.00 coupons so I got them free and got back $4 RR. So... I do have RR to start with next time. :)#Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-51628707828499240242011-04-22T23:41:00.003-05:002011-04-23T00:06:57.865-05:00Walmart - Paid tax only!I was very happy when I stopped by the Mayfield Walmart one morning and discovered they did, in fact, have Nivea Body Wash for $3.00. It's so hard to get really good deals on dry dog food. We used to use Ol' Yeller from Kroger, but the price went up and our dogs really don't seem to like it as well, so we're buying more Ol' Roy from Walmart. When I was in the dog food aisle, I noticed there were bonus size bags of Purina Dog Chow & I had a coupon, so the price was really close to the Ol' Roy.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16865136480042088921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725951609180587744.post-2020192660642191762011-04-09T08:20:00.002-05:002011-04-09T08:29:58.024-05:00It's been a slow shopping week! That's a good thing, because that means I haven't spent a lot this week!
