Today's Kroger Trips

I went to the Kroger on Park Ave but shortly into the trip discovered they didn't have the Sunny D Smoothies I had coupons for so I just picked up a few items (as usual I didn't keep my Mega 10 items to multiples of 10 - I had 11); seems like I'm always losing count.

A little while later I went to the Southside Kroger (shopped with my good couponing friend Penny for a little while - thanks for going with me!). No matter how hard I try I keep losing count of my Mega 10 items. Three of the items were clearance Edwards Singles items & I was afraid that the clearance ones might not count in the Mega 10 sale, so I didn't count them. Of course, excluding those 3 items I still had 41 instead of 40 Mega 10 items - go figure...LOL. Here's that breakdown:

I see other bloggers out there with much better savings percentages and I could be so jealous sometimes. Our selection here just isn't what it is in some areas (of course, I realize we have it better than some...so I am grateful for what we do have.)

When you consider our limited selection of stores, Kroger is by far the winner - for me - in our area since they double q's up to 60¢ and usually have pretty good sales along with a better selection than some of our other grocery options. Overall, I can't do this well most places around here. I will stop by the other grocery stores to catch a few items when they have something priced really well; and, of course I shop CVS (and sometimes Walgreens and Wal-Mart.) But for now - I'm going Krogering!
